My time at the Midlands Fatherhood Coalition was a fantastic opportunity to understand how a non-profit operates while experiencing first-hand the empowering of fathers looking to get their life on track through classes and seminars.
One project I was tasked with was creating a visually pleasing document showing the year in numbers as well as facts surrounding fatherhood. This document would be sent to everyone internally as well as various investors and donors that support the coalition.
The unfortunate timing of the Covid-19 pandemic was turned into a positive at the company, creating a virtual plan for fathers to stay connected and on track with their fatherhood plans. Being so flexible and working on the fly was something I can take into any aspect of my degree and job experience moving forward.
